It's interesting to know who, or rather where, these aviation enthusiasts come to Laucha. The unique hillside location and the warm weather make it easy for gliders and hang gliders to take flight. But hikers also enjoy fabulous views of the Unstrut Valley.

Look down into the Unstrut valley from the edge of the Laucha hill or the Dorndorf mountains and chill out on the benches and soak up the sun.

Baroque garden "St. Ulrich" "The owner of the moated castle, Baron von Breitenbauch, had a baroque garden built on this mountain slope in 1720. The artistically designed terraced area featured various stone figures and putti. The two-storey garden house built in the classicist style completed the complex. The so-called tea house - once used by the von Helldorff family for celebrations in the summer - is currently very dilapidated and its future uncertain. A nursery in the eastern part completed the ensemble of the terraced garden. In the 1970s, the facilities fell into disrepair and were destroyed. Reconstruction began in 1993 and further reconstruction measures are planned for the future. From the top terrace you have a beautiful view of the town center of Mücheln." (Information board)
