The cycle path through the Gartetal valley is one of the most heavily used connections for cyclists from the surrounding area into the city of Göttingen. It primarily serves commuters on weekdays and leisure cyclists on sunny weekends. In early summer 2022, an average of 1,400 trips per week were recorded, a significant increase compared to previous counts.

There's a square with benches for those seeking peace and quiet. Unfortunately, there's a lot of graffiti and idiots throwing their trash around.

A beautiful, shady bike path. Partially equipped with information boards and points of interest. Easy to ride, but the signage could be better. Tip: Plan ahead on Komoot and use your navigation system/mobile phone as well.

Duderstadt has a very interesting and well-preserved old town that is beautiful to look at in any season.
