ルンツェナウの洞窟・トップ20

10世紀後半に建設された帝国城砦の跡地に、1143年にヴェッティン家のマルクグラーフの所有となった、広大な城館がそびえ立っています。その姿は、いくつかのロマネスク様式の建物の部分に加え、14世紀末のマルクグラーフの城のゴシック様式への改築によって大きく特徴づけられています。さらに増改築が行われたのは15世紀末から16世紀にかけてで、この時期に城はヴェッティン家の副居城、未亡人の居所、狩猟城として利用されました。合計で、ロクリッツはザクセンの君主家の関係者にとって8度目の居城となりました。18世紀以降、城は行政機関（司法局、地方裁判所）の所在地として、1852年からは刑務所としても使用され、そのために再び大規模な改築が必要となりました。1892年に設立された博物館は徐々に拡張され、将来的には城のほぼ全体を占めることになります。 出典: Wikipedia

There's a lot to discover on the mountain, and beautiful hikes to take. The tower and the tower restaurant make it a worthwhile destination.
