The market square of Tauberbischofsheim is the vibrant center of the city and a popular meeting place for locals and visitors. Surrounded by historic buildings and charming half-timbered houses, the market square offers a unique atmosphere.

Good cafe but often crowded, especially on weekends. The Schlossgarten-Cafe (in the Schlossgarten) might be an alternative.

A beautiful café. Friendly staff 😊 Lactose-free cappuccino is also available 👌👍. There's outdoor seating in the summer. Dogs are welcome. Open Wednesday to Sunday from 9:30 am until at least 10:00 pm. Closed Monday and Tuesday.

Impressive castle, with beautiful park

Definitely worth a visit and you should also take a look at the castle park.

Totally impressive castle. My personal highlight is the castle church with its fantastic ceiling paintings.

The Neuchâtel of the last Count of Rothenburg, recognized as the predecessor of the Teutonic Order Castle, was owned by King Conrad III. passed to the Hohenlohe ruling family, who gave the castle as a fief to the Hohenlohe family. Along with Tauberbischofsheim and Rothenburg, Bad Mergentheim is one of the pearls of the Tauber Valley. You should definitely visit the market square, the Gänsplatz, the Hans-Heinrich-Ehlers-Platz and the Residenzschloss.
