Eutin Castle in Eutin, East Holstein, is the cultural center and nucleus of the town. Along with Gottorf Castle and Glücksburg Castle, it is one of the most important secular court buildings in Schleswig-Holstein. The four-winged complex originated from a medieval castle and was expanded into a royal residence over several centuries.

The lake has a round shape with a bay in the north and is about 1400 meters long and 1100 meters wide. It has a size of about 108 hectares and a maximum depth of 19.2 meters, which it reaches in the middle. The lake is fed by rather insignificant tributaries.

From here you have fantastic views of the Great Pönitzer Lake.

Away from the hustle and bustle and grains of sand, as well as the obligatory subtle smell of French fries, you can shift down a gear at this "freshwater pearl". A "hidden champion". The sunsets are a special highlight and are considered the most beautiful in the entire Bay of Lübeck.
