ラインベックで最も古く、最も重要な建造物は、オランダ・ルネサンス様式の城です。ゴットルフ公アドルフ1世は、1572年から1576年の間に、今日まで残るその姿で城を建設させました。当初は領主の副邸でしたが、デンマーク時代には代官の居城となり、その後短期間ストルマルン郡の行政庁舎となりました。今日、忠実に修復された建物は、ラインベックの文化センターなど、公共の利用に供されています。

Very nice castle, very few people in Hamburg know about this gem. One of the most beautiful Christmas markets in northern Germany also takes place on the Schloßwiese.

In earlier years, lions and other predators were often and gladly placed as guardian figures in front of castles and mansions. The lioness in the Bergedorf Castle Park is much more recent and otherwise deviates from the usual forms of representation. She shows much less impressiveness than many of her male counterparts and also looks in the direction of the castle instead of watching in front of it. The granite sculpture shows simplified, flowing lines with rear legs set far back. Originally there was also a tiger by the same artist in the palace park next to the lioness. I discovered the place by chance. Since I like castles, I was very satisfied and I took some pictures. Unfortunately, I couldn't spend a lot of time here. But the environment looks very nice.
