Porto Novo Beach is located in the municipality of Torres Vedras, Portugal, at the mouth of the Alcabrichel River. Cycle paths: Porto Novo Beach is the end point of the Ciclovia das Praias (Beaches Cycle Path), which connects it to Santa Cruz. The Fonte dos Frades Spa is located halfway between the village of Maceira and Porto Novo Beach. Partially remodeled in 2014, it maintains the traditional design of Portuguese spa buildings.

Situated at the mouth of the Alcabrichel River, Porto Novo Beach is located on the edge of a paradisiacal valley, between cliffs covered in lush vegetation, which hide caves with prehistoric remains. A former fishing port, this beach is also known for being the landing site of the British troops who would later fight in the Battle of Vimeiro, during the first Napoleonic invasion in 1807.

The bridge is not easy to find... Behind a green tin house, a narrow path branches off to the left behind a wall. This is the right way to the bridge!

Access it from Santa Rita using the dirt road behind the beach bar.

The Passadiço das Escarpas opened in 2019 and connects Porto Novo and Maceira. The route leads past the beaches of Porto Novo and Santa Rita and there are several viewing platforms.
