The Alb Basin or Alb Dam is a reservoir in the Alb valley near St. Blasien (southern Black Forest). The gravity dam of the Alb reservoir is 28 m high. The dam between Schluchsee and the Rhine near Waldshut is part of the pumped storage network of Schluchseewerk AG.

The monastery pond is a private pond and belongs to the Landgasthof Klosterweiherhof. I spent a few nice days with her on very nice hikes and on my return I enjoyed cooling off in the monastery pond.

A beautiful, somewhat remote lake. There is not so much going on here, you can go hiking and swimming.

Very friendly reception, nice location. Closed on Tuesday, but you can have dinner 700 m away in the Dachsberger Hof (closed on the website, by mistake, also noted for Tuesday, Aug. 22).

Very nice little bathing lake. If the Schluchsee is sometimes too crowded in the high season, you can switch to the Schlüchtsee, sometimes the sunbathing area at the kiosk can also be full here, the lake is particularly popular with locals. At the lake there is everything you need for a successful summer day: bathing lake, changing rooms, sunbathing area, kiosk, etc. You can walk around the lake, and the immediate vicinity of the lake is ideal for short hikes or walks.

Great reservoir with a beautiful circular route. Unfortunately little water at the moment.

Alone because of the newly renovated, nostalgic changing rooms, strictly separated for men and women, it is worth visiting the bathing lake.
