The Getzbach Dam is a striking feature of Lake Eupen and is flanked by an atmospheric waterfall. The rippling water, the surrounding nature, and the water flowing over the dam create a tranquil yet vibrant atmosphere. Strolling along the dam and its banks, you can enjoy the dynamics of the water, the reflections of the surroundings, and the birdsong that is so prevalent in the area.

Here the Hill Tunnel ends and the water falls over a weir into the Getzbach, which flows into the Wesertalsperre a little further downstream.

During dry periods it is not much.

Also from the Hill, the High Fens stream from the Fagne Walonne, water is led to the dam. Inconspicuously because it happens via an underground channel that ends in this water basin with overflow waterfall in the Getzbach.

Eupen dam on the Vesdre (= Weser) and reservoir of the dam Touring it on foot is a varied and wooded 14 km walk, where deciduous trees and conifers alternate, stony paths along the water's edge and forest paths in the undergrowth, decorated with blueberry bushes and songs of birds, with a return via a small forest road invaded by German-speaking cyclists with family or with the dog, all this is bucolic, rural, romantic and pleasant!
