The Seethalerhütte on the Dachstein is located at 2,740 m, making it the highest mountain hut in Upper Austria. Surrounded by the eternal ice of the Dachstein glacier, the hut is located in a breathtaking setting and offers a wonderful view of the mountains all the way to the Großglockner. Delicious food, friendly service, great panoramic windows in the dining room and a beautiful sun terrace with a mountain panorama. What more could you want?? Oh, and you can also stay overnight 😉. Fantastic view when the weather is nice - relatively easy to walk even when there is snow.

A really nice bike path. Just don't drive on the west side, it's very dangerous. Whether you have to go to Hallstatt is up to you. One look is enough for us.
