The Anholt moated castle in Isselburg is one of the most impressive castle complexes in Westphalia and has been the family property of the Princely House of Salm and Salm-Salm since 1641 and is privately inhabited. The moated castle is surrounded by a 35 hectare, beautiful castle park. Directly adjacent to the historic landscape park is a golf course and Anholter Schweiz, which is well worth seeing.
