Molsdorf Palace Park, home to one of the most beautiful Baroque palaces in central Germany, is located south of Erfurt and houses an extensive art collection as well as numerous authentic furnishings from the 18th century. The palace and park are under the care of the Thuringian Palaces and Gardens Foundation. The palace museum is one of the art museums of the city of Erfurt. The palace museum can be visited as part of a guided tour. When visiting the citadel, you can explore the new exhibition in the commandant's house as well as the listening corridors in the strong walls of the fortress or simply enjoy the fantastic view over the old town. As the crown of the city, the Petersberg has shaped the cityscape of the Thuringian state capital for centuries and is a popular destination for Erfurters and their guests to linger and discover.
