Bursfelde Monastery had a major impact on European monastic life with its reforms in the 15th century and therefore has a great history! The complex, parts of which have been preserved today, is particularly impressive with the Romanesque basilica of St. Thomas and St. Nicholas. Definitely worth seeing!

It's really nice to be standing where Fulda and Werra "kiss" and the Weser is formed. You have an even better overview from the car bridge with bicycle and pedestrian path across the street.

You can enjoy the view of the Werra unhindered without traffic. Impressive building, well preserved, beautiful view of the pedestrian area of the old town.

A very nice, but entertaining bike path. The R1 is optimally signposted and leads through small villages and larger towns.

Here the Weser begins at the confluence of the Fulda and Werra - the cycle path to Bremen is mostly well developed and recommendable.

The historic Werra Bridge fits in well with the surroundings. It is paved with cobblestones and has a high curb. The path is just as wide as a car.

Very nice, well-kept old town with a lot worth seeing and small shops and places to eat. Everything is well signposted.
