Dörpen's village square features a fountain and artificial watercourses. It borders the market square. Benches invite you to take a break or listen to the water. A few small playground equipment for children is also available.

Dörpen has, among other things, a fun and adventure pool (Dünenbad) as well as various football pitches, tennis courts, sports halls, an indoor riding arena, a fitness trail, a tennis hall, a skating rink, a Gorodki facility, a shooting range, an archery range, a dog training area and a marina.

My dogs also thought it was great, a small beach by the turning basin. Unfortunately it was all a bit littered. Tip: a little further on, when you get to the wooden pavilion, which in the dog photo would be about head height at the back of the path, there are toilets!
