From here you can take a look at Pelhamer See, which is part of the Eggstätt Hemhofer Lake District. The Eggstätt Hemhofer Lake District, with its area of around 1,000 hectares, is one of the most important ice-collapse landscapes in the Bavarian Alpine foothills. It is also one of the most valuable natural landscapes and was therefore declared a nature reserve in 1939. This makes the Eggstätt Hemhofer Lake District one of the oldest nature reserves in Bavaria.
