Mirow Castle Island reflects the history of the Dukes of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. Immediately north of the castle island lies Lovers' Island, accessible via a wrought-iron bridge, which contains the tomb of the last Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, giving the site a special historical and romantic significance. It is worth climbing the tower of the castle church - from here you have a fantastic photo view of the waters of the Kleinseenplatte: Lake Mirow, Granzower Möschen, etc.

The road from Vipperow to Bollewick is absolutely unsuitable for cycling! Cars whizz past you at 100 km. And at the crossing of the Bundestrasse it is DEATHLY DANGEROUS! Absolutely irresponsible that Mecklenburger Radtour sends you there.

Via Verde through nature! Well done, far too rare, we have enough disused railway lines!

It's a pity that the bridge is not directly connected to the asphalted railway cycle path.
