The dam is fed by two small streams. One of them is the Breitenbach, which also gives the dam its name.

The picture does not show the Vitus Church. What is visible is the Protestant church on the market square.

Great water features and some culinary highlights

Very beautiful church. The guys from the town always put a lot of effort into the flower arrangements in front of the church.

The calorie path is a nice addition to the asphalt circuit around the Breitenbach dam. It offers various sports and fitness equipment/stations and the opportunity to do a little more in the air. If you don't want to do this, you can walk it like this, because at least half of it runs on upper forest paths around the dam. It is beautifully laid out and also offers some beautiful views. At the end of the "fitness exertions" the Old Warden's House beckons for the physical fitness program 👍🤣.

Beautiful dam. Great circular route, perfect for cycling and jogging.
