☆ Easily accessible from Grünau-Nord... I myself use the Schlippe by the church, a good shortcut.

☆ They have delicious ice cream here... also to take away... Parking by car is rather difficult.

A picturesque and beautiful way to drive through Leipzig, or further into the city, while feeling like you're surrounded by greenery. The only downside (that I can think of): You see little to nothing of the architectural highlights you might otherwise have driven past.

Large free parking lot as a starting point for trips to Lake Cospuden or into Leipzig.

Don't be offended, but every now and then, the old GDR charm still shines through—or to put it another way: You can still discover abandoned places away from the tourist areas. Even the old cobblestones are occasionally visible, especially in side streets.

Right next to the Red House, a lovingly designed playground awaits you for a relaxing break at Kulkwitz Lake. Here, you can climb, swing, and dig in the sand, while the adults enjoy the view of the water.
