A plastered quarry stone church, the core of which dates back to the 14th century. A tower top is above the choir. Inside, a 15th-century wall painting, and in the sacristy, a torso of a baptismal angel.

Café Schwalbennest is open Friday to Sunday. Delicious cakes. Small organic food store.

The Wermsdorfer longing for the splendor of the former court hunts is manifested in a bronze reference to the Saxon King Albert. On June 21, 1908, the monument of King Albert as a huntsman in a loden jacket, hunting hat and double-barreled shotgun was unveiled in the presence of King Friedrich August III. A historian had the idea early on that the castle would be the perfect venue for knight tournaments, which were held for several years from 1889. The owners were expropriated after the Second World War, but the castle is now privately owned again. It has been extensively restored.
