The isolated area lies on the Bocksrückbach stream, a tributary of the Gosenbach stream. This stream feeds a chain of ponds west of the mill. To the east, the terrain rises to the Bocksrücken hill. The mill originally operated a hammer mill. Potato cultivation began there as early as 1668. Beekeeping is now practiced here, and natural honey is sold.

The bizarre shape of the rock and the large cave make this natural monument so special. There's a bench on the sandstone cliff where you can take a break and enjoy the view of the pond landscape.

After the Bockmühle, but before the Weiherfelsen, there are further rock formations and smaller caves, somewhat hidden in the undergrowth.
