A stop at the hut is highly recommended! And take a look inside the alpine pasture – there's a stream flowing there!

There are not many places in the Salzburg region that are as beautiful as the Hofalmen in Filzmoos. From here there are many wonderful hikes. To the Hofbürgelhütte or to the Sulzenhals and much more! Something special is the opportunity to get married or have your child baptized at the Hofalmen. You can get there by bike, car, on foot along the toll road or in both summer and winter by horse-drawn carriage. In winter there is a wonderful Advent circular trail.

The entire hill is covered with marmot burrows and we were able to spot a few young marmots and an adult marmot bear before at least the adults fled into the tunnels after loud warning whistles.
