Steep ramp through the village towards Italy

The Madonna della Segna is a small oratory on Monte Comino in the Centovalli at an altitude of 1,176 meters. It houses frescoes of the Virgin Mary and has served as a place of pilgrimage for centuries. It can be reached via hiking trails from Intragna or Verdasio. The surrounding area offers magnificent views and tranquil nature, inviting you to take a contemplative rest.

Rasa is a tiny mountain village in the Centovalli, accessible only on foot or by cable car from Verdasio. At an altitude of approximately 900 meters, it nestles on sunny slopes. Narrow streets, old stone houses, and a quiet piazza lend the village a special charm. Rasa is considered a car-free paradise.

Old mill with beautiful bathing area

A beautiful hamlet high above Intragna. Accessible by foot or cable car. Located on the Via del Mercato hiking trail.

The train usually runs every 30 minutes.

A scenic hike from Loco to Intragna. Ideal for summer temperatures, as it's almost entirely forested. Sturdy footwear is highly recommended, as almost the entire approximately 6km route is on rocks, but the path is well-maintained and safe throughout. We took the bus from Intragna to Loco and walked down from the top because the climb in Intragna was too much for us. The descent from Intragna was also quite strenuous. There were several water sources with drinking water along the route.
