The climb to Verna is a bit easier, yet offers a stunning view of the valley below. After kilometers of grueling climb, it's a bit like entering paradise.

A special historical reference: a plaque above a fountain commemorates the battles fought by the then mayor of Cumiana, Felice Carboni, for an aqueduct to supply the town with drinking water. The aqueduct was eventually built, and this fountain is a bit of a symbol of it. The fountain and plaque are located on the short side of the market building, opposite the town hall, on the main street. Very interesting for history buffs.

Look at this wonderful church designed by a student of Juvarra

A plaque commemorates Felice Cordero di Pamparato, a partisan commander with the battle name of "Campana", who was hanged here by the fascists in August 1944 together with three other comrades in arms. It is not far from the historic center of Giaveno, but if you don't know it is there, it is difficult to find it: now that you know, go and see it, and "meditate that this is what happened" (cit.).

Passage also known as "witches' arch": a short tunnel under a stone building, very suggestive.
