The "mountains" are sand moraines from the Ice Age; they are even more clearly visible on the path north of the Lachte river.

Unfortunately, it's also a road bridge with a lot of traffic.

No official parking lot, but a good starting point for a walk through the Schweinebruch area.

Freight trains rarely run on the line anymore. Attempts to re-establish passenger service have failed due to a lack of profitability.

Good parking facilities are available at the bridge on Ahnsbecker Weg over the Osterbruch Canal.

Beavers have returned to the Celle district, although not in the Osterbruch area.

A beautiful path into the Schweinebruch, initially paved, later gravelled.

The facility is quite old, but still usable.
