A beautiful bridge nestled among charming half-timbered houses typical of the Altes Land region, and the Este River. A fantastic cycling and hiking trail runs alongside it. Highly recommended.

A beautiful hiking trail along the banks of the Este River. Bring provisions, as there is only one place to stop for refreshments along the way. Avoid this hike in the height of summer, as there is very little shade. A highly recommended hike.

A very beautiful mill in Jork. A short detour from the main road, then turn left and you've arrived. Unfortunately, the café is closed and no longer in operation. A real shame since October 30, 2023. Nevertheless, the mill is still worth seeing.

The Este Barrage (Inner and Outer), The Inner Este Barrage on the Este federal waterway is located in the outer district of the city of Stade and plays a central role in flood protection. It protects the second dike line between the city of Buxtehude and the barrage from flooding caused by storm surges and high inflows during unfavorable tides. The structure prevents North Sea water from reaching the barrage and regulates the water level during heavy rainfall. It thus provides important protection for residents and agricultural land in this region. It is located approximately 800 meters upstream of the more well-known Outer Este Barrage, which is operated by the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.

A very beautiful old historic gate at the Este Speerwerk. It could really use some renovation; that would be wonderful. Time is taking its toll, and it would be a shame if it were no longer there one day.

It's advisable to bring your own food and drinks, as there aren't many places to stop for refreshments. You'll find wonderful views of the apple orchards and old thatched-roof houses. A bicycle tour is not recommended here. A hike is highly recommended and interesting 👍🏼.
