A deep sinkhole opens up here: It's a volcanic vent approximately 70 meters deep, which can be circumnavigated on secured paths. A few steps allow you to descend into the hole, but trying to see the bottom is doomed to failure.

We set off without Komoot because I hadn't downloaded the La Palma maps and there's no signal at the starting parking lot. This hike is fairly easy and pleasant, through the forest up to the small, overgrown caldera. The markings are poor between markers 7 and 8, so we struggled a bit to get back to the starting point. Bring warm, waterproof clothing, as it can be cold and windy, and rain is a possibility.
