Anton Günther is the most famous songwriter and singer from the Ore Mountains (1876-1937). His songs and lyrics testify not only to a great love of his homeland, but also to a critical view of life ("De fallische Politik"). Also worth seeing is the Anton Günther Memorial (Günther Ruh) near Weipert (now Vejprty) in the Czech Republic. Anton Günther is buried in Gottesgab (now Bozi Dar).
