An old watermill is located on a residential building here, and the adjacent garden is also worth seeing.

Currently (07/2025) the ferry is out of service, an alternative ferry is in Bleckede.

Simply beautiful! Wavy along the Elbe!

The railway stop in Breese am Seißelberge was first mentioned in August 1869 in an explanatory report on the preparatory work for the Wittenberge-Buchholz branch line. At that time, only one stop was planned—the only one; all other access points were railway stations. When construction of the line was already well underway and the opening to Hitzacker in October 1873 was imminent, the Berlin-Hamburg Railway prepared initial designs for the station. From the outset, the station was intended to accommodate imperial hunting parties. A small museum about rural life with many exhibits both inside and out. It can be visited for a small fee.

A well-developed bike path along the main road. Riding along the road isn't really our thing, but this bike path was built a bit off the beaten track and was easy to ride.

A fascinating station building. Quite large for today's operations. Kaiser Wilhelm II was once received here.
