Now home to the Haute-Vienne Museum of Contemporary Art, it was once the dynastic residence of the Viscounts of Rochechouart. The keep, built in the 11th century, is surrounded by the remains of a 15th-century building.

The thermal baths of Chassenon date from the Gallo-Roman period. They were settled in the town of Cassinomagus, bordered by the via Aggripa, a road which then linked Saintes to Lyon. Friendly and effortless

Beautiful little village, historic houses, cute small shops and very old chirch. Small cafe in Front of chirch has good coffee and local goodies like cheese and other specialities.
