The museum, which is housed in Hof Gümmer, preserves and maintains the memory of historical village life and mining. At the computer stations, which were set up with the help of EU funds, eyewitnesses and historical images from the past tell the story. You will also learn exciting things about everyday life in the past. For refreshment after a visit to the museum you will also find a cozy café in the courtyard.

This is a good place to take a break. Depending on the weather conditions, you have a beautiful view as far as the Deister.

The view is due to the spruce clearing in the area. But still a nice view 🙂

The mining and local history museum with a café is housed in the beautiful half-timbered courtyard. On four levels you will learn everything about local mining and local traditions and can admire many exhibits from different eras. All information is available at https://hof-guemmer.de/.

Nice big rest area. This is where the Bückeberge long-distance hiking trail X11, the Hülsenweg and the “Achtern Berge” hiking trail cross.

180 degree turn through a beautiful old quarry. However, in one or two places I had to help my bike over transverse branches.
