Eagle Monument, Passo del S. Gottardo A monument with two eagles stands on the Gotthard Pass. It is dedicated to Adrien Guex, a pilot from Vaud who crashed in 1928 "in the service of his country," and to all pilots who died serving their homeland – Switzerland. The best thing to do is walk over the dam walls and back along the foot of the dam. Impressive! If you're lucky, you'll also see marmots

The Pesciüm alp is a ski resort and a starting point for excursions and trail runs in Ticino, at the foot of the San Gottardo massif. It is located on the Sentiero Cristallina, can be reached by cable car starting from Airolo or on foot from Nante and Val Bedretto, and offers a panoramic view of the surrounding valleys.

The characteristic of Cassino is the extraordinary tree trunk (see photo).

The Sella reservoir can be easily reached from the Gotthard by bike (and of course on foot) on an asphalt road. A tour around the lake is possible, as is the climb to Giubin (the latter on foot, of course).

Lake Ravina is a small alpine lake located in the Leventina Valley, in the Canton of Ticino. It is located at 1888 meters above sea level, at the foot of Pizzo Sassello, and is part of a hiking itinerary that connects several lakes and huts in the area.

Cassina is a small town located in Val Canaria, a side valley of Val Bedretto, in the Canton of Ticino. It is located at 1421 meters above sea level, about 7 km from Airolo. There are just a couple of houses and a water source.

Val Canaria is a left side valley of the Leventina, in the Canton of Ticino, between the San Gottardo Pass and Airolo. It is famous for its wild and evocative landscape, which varies from glacier primroses to chestnut groves. It is crossed by a path that goes from Airolo to the border with the Canton of Grisons.
