Bridge over the Ticino river near Biasca. The bridge is along a regional road that can be busy, but there is a sidewalk for pedestrians. The view of the river and the mountains surrounding the Riviera valley is beautiful.

The Sentiero Riviera is a route that follows the Ticino river from Biasca to Bellinzona. You can admire beautiful landscapes and pass through several villages with the cultural attractions of the Riviera valley.

Bathing area along the Riale di Lodrino stream, near its mouth before flowing into the Ticino river. It is easily accessible and there is convenient parking nearby.

The church of Saints Peter and Paul is a Romanesque building that dominates the municipality of Biasca. It was built between the 11th and 12th centuries and has a façade decorated with blind arches and a portal with columns. It is the mother church of the Leventina, Blenio and Riviera valleys.

The Santa Petronilla waterfall is one of the highest in the Canton of Ticino and is located above Biasca. It is formed by a drop of the Ri della Froda stream and can be reached with a short walk from the town. There are also swimming pools where you can swim surrounded by nature.

Biasca is located at the confluence of the Leventina, Blenio and Riviera valleys. With around 6 thousand inhabitants it is a town rich in history, art and nature. There is an important railway hub and it is an ideal starting point for excursions and outdoor sports thanks to its location surrounded by the Swiss Alps.

The church of San Carlo Borromeo was built between 1890 and 1905 based on a design by the Milanese architect Carlo Maciachini, but was never completed. It has a Greek cross plan and an octagonal dome with a pavilion vault.
