From the gap (point 2182) directly over the ridge without a path (T5) to the summit. From the summit you can continue south over the ridge to the Pas de la Borière. Airy scramble. If you are looking for a picturesque, family-friendly hike in the Friborg region, you should visit Cabane de Bounavaux. This cozy mountain cabin is located in the Vanil Noir nature reserve, the highest peak in the Friborg Pre-Alps. There you can enjoy a delicious soup and a refreshing drink, while admiring the view of the surrounding peaks. The cabin is open and guarded from the end of May to the beginning of October, and you can access it on foot from Grandvillard or from the Baudes car park.

The SAC hut Bounavaux is located on the western flanks of the Vanil Noir in the nature reserve around the highest mountain in Fribourg. The hut towers above Grandvillard and is located at 1620 meters above sea level. The mountain hut offers catering as well as sleeping accommodation for 30 people in a dormitory (on reservation). Nearby, between the car park and the hut, is the small Lac de Coudré.
