Very nice section of the Old Canal for hiking, cycling and stopping for a break.

The Plassenburg Castle is in Kulmbach. You can't see that far from there. This is the Frankenalbklinik Engelthal.

An old towboat on the old canal. Regular trips take place in the summer. It's the perfect way to slow down.

It's wonderful to cycle along the canal here. It's not for racing, but ideal for leisurely bike rides. The fact that there are a few more or less successful works of art along the way is a nice bonus.

The café is run by people with disabilities and offers very friendly service. The price-performance ratio is decent.

The former LGS site in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz is a popular local recreation area and a green meeting place for residents and visitors. History The site hosted the Bavarian State Garden Show in 1998. Under the motto "SinnesWandel," the site of a former sewage treatment plant on the Ludwig Canal was extensively renovated and transformed into a diverse park landscape. Many of the gardens created at that time have been preserved and have flourished. Today, the LGS site is a year-round leisure park offering a wide range of activities.
