"The old town hall, centrally located in the middle of the village, was built in 1578. It originally served as a courthouse. Today, the mayor's office and the meeting room are on the first floor. The museum of local history and the North Palatinate gallery are located in the stairwell and on the top floor. "The sandstones found in Germany were formed over a wide period of time from the Paleozoic to the Cenozoic era. The Palatinate sandstones are limited to the Permian (Rotliegend and Zechtein, 296 - 251 million years ago) and the Bunter Sandstone (251 - 243 million years ago) periods.
