Schloss Schwarzenau is a magnificent Renaissance castle located in the heart of the market town of Schwarzenau, in the picturesque Waldviertel region of Lower Austria. Standing at an elevation of 618 metres, this historic landmark, originally a 12th-century water fortress, was transformed into the elegant four-towered castle seen today between 1580 and 1592.     Il castello di Schwarzenau è un castello rinascimentale circondato da un parco.

    Il castello di Swarcenawe, che originariamente sorgeva qui, è menzionato per la prima volta nei documenti nel 1150.
