    Il Baumgarten Schneid si trova a est del Tegernsee a 1.448 metri nelle Prealpi Bavaresi. In cima c'è una croce di vetta da cui si ha una splendida vista sul lago Tegernsee e sulle montagne circostanti come il Wallberg, il Setzberg o il Kampen.     Il Baumgarten Schneid era la vetta preferita di Ludwig Thoma.
    Suggerimento: la traversata dall'Alpbachtal (Sagfleckl) passando per la Baumgartenalm in vetta e oltre la Riedersteinkircherl fino al rifugio Galaun. Una meravigliosa e varia escursione in montagna sulle montagne del Tegernsee con viste fantastiche.
