    L'Esbacher See è un'antica cava di argilla e con una profondità d'acqua di oltre 40 metri uno degli specchi d'acqua più profondi della Baviera settentrionale. Il lago è una componente paesaggistica tutelata da regolamento. È vietato abbandonare i percorsi pubblici e quindi fare il bagno.

    Ex cava di argilla della fabbrica di mattoni di Esbach. Creato dall'estrazione di argilla a cielo aperto tra il 1900 e il 1970 e da allora riempito con acqua superficiale. Un'isola era ancora visibile negli anni '80, che affondò sotto l'innalzamento del livello dell'acqua negli anni '90. Il bagno è tollerato a proprio rischio. Sponda molto ripida, molto profonda. Nessun margine di manovra da nessuna parte. Con una profondità di 40 m secondo Wikipedia lo specchio d'acqua più profondo della zona.
