    Loughrigg Tarn è di una bellezza mozzafiato. Quasi circolare, con viste suggestive a nord-ovest verso i Langdale Pikes e con una varietà di piante acquatiche, è un posto meraviglioso da visitare e non è così popolare come potresti immaginare. Loughrigg Tarn era un luogo prediletto da William Wordsworth, che, nella sua Epistola a Sir George Howland Beaumont Bart, lo paragonò allo "Specchio di Diana... rotondo, chiaro e luminoso come il cielo".
