Anno di costruzione: la cappella fu costruita nel 1946. La prima pietra fu posta il 15 maggio e la cappella fu solennemente consacrata il 23 giugno 1946.
Motivo: i residenti del quartiere Bootdijk eressero il luogo di culto per gratitudine. Il quartiere fu risparmiato da gravi disastri durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale e nessuno della strada morì. Inoltre, la cappella servì come supplica per proteggere il quartiere dalle persistenti inondazioni.
