    Canale del castello di Herrenchiemsee
    La grande Fontana dell'Apollo avrebbe dovuto essere realizzata davanti al “Canal Grande”, ma non fu mai completata. Nella mitologia greca e romana, Apollo era il dio della luce, della primavera, della purezza morale e della moderazione, nonché della profezia e delle arti.
    Quando l'acqua è bassa si può attraversare il canale sui sassi... con grande stupore dei passanti in barca: i sassi sono difficilmente visibili dalla riva del lago e quindi si cammina sull'acqua per loro. Basta provarlo! :-)
