    L'architettura della Biblioteca Centrale è ancora controversa a Seattle: per molti, l'edificio si diffonde con troppa sicurezza nello skyline del centro. Ma forse un edificio pubblico deve farlo in mezzo a tutte le torri di banche e uffici. In ogni caso, qualsiasi passante può utilizzarlo come passaggio pubblico, attraversando gli spazi ariosi e superando comodamente il notevole dislivello tra la 4a e la 5a Via.
