Progettato da Martin van den Houd, il memoriale è stato inaugurato il 26 ottobre 1999 ed è costituito da una scultura in bronzo raffigurante il volto di un soldato inglese. La scultura poggia su un pilastro di cemento alto un metro e mezzo. Davanti alla colonna c'è una targa di marmo nero incisa con i nomi di quattro soldati inglesi caduti in un'imboscata e uccisi vicino al forte mentre erano di pattuglia da Dreumel il 26 ottobre 1944.
