The Sanibel Lighthouse, officially known as the Sanibel Island Light or Point Ybel Light, is a historic man-made monument located on the eastern tip of Sanibel Island, Florida. Standing 98 feet above sea level, this iconic iron skeleton tower has served as a crucial navigational aid on Florida's Gulf Coast since 1884, marking the entrance to San Carlos Bay for ships heading to Punta Rassa. It remains a significant landmark and a symbol of the island's rich maritime heritage.
