The Somerleyton Brickfields Ruins are a fascinating man-made monument located in the picturesque village of Somerleyton, Suffolk, England.     Dal 1780 circa i mattoni di Somerleyton furono prodotti qui fino alla chiusura dei lavori nel 1939. Alcuni edifici degni di nota di mattoni di Somerleyton includono le stazioni ferroviarie di York e Liverpool Street e un palazzo reale belga. Abbondano le testimonianze degli edifici e della fornace, ora demoliti, e delle fosse dove veniva scavata la sabbia. I 22 cottage alla fine del binario furono costruiti tra il 1854 e il 1875 per gli operai e fu costruita la stalla per trasportare i mattoni finiti tramite i vagoni.
