    La chiesa gotica di Santo Stefano a Brussegem (Merchtem) risale al XVI-XVII secolo. La chiesa fu costruita in arenaria su un pendio delimitato da un muro cimiteriale. L'edificio della chiesa è costituito da una torre occidentale quadrata, una navata a tre navate a tre campate, due bracci trasversali inferiori sporgenti e un coro con abside trilaterale. Nel 1976 la chiesa è stata protetta come monumento.
