    Impossibile non notare sul lato nord di piazza Széchenyi è un impressionante ricordo dei 150 anni di occupazione ottomana di Pécs nel XVI e XVII secolo.
    Questo luogo di culto risale al 1580. E sebbene il suo minareto sia stato abbattuto pochi decenni dopo che gli Asburgo ricostruirono la città all'inizio del XVIII secolo, il corpo principale ottagonale della moschea fu semplicemente convertito in chiesa cattolica.
