    La casa fu menzionata già nel 1186 come Villa Visbeck come feudo del monastero di Werden. Dal 1338 il complesso era di proprietà dei signori di Visbeck, che ora veniva utilizzato come maniero, un edificio fortificato su due isole. Nel 1540 la famiglia dei Signori di Visbeck si estinse e gli edifici trovarono nuovi proprietari, da ultimo la famiglia Droste zu Vischering, che ne fu proprietaria fino al XX secolo. Oggi Haus Visbeck è di proprietà privata. Il 14 marzo 2023 un incendio ha distrutto parti degli edifici del maniero.

    La cappella di Visbeck appartiene a un antico maniero ed è ben conservata. Consigliamo il piccolo ma grazioso mercatino di Natale con bancarelle davvero carine. Purtroppo sarà cancellato nel 2020 a causa della pandemia di Corona.
