    Basilica di San Lorenzo (cattolica)
    La prima pietra della costruzione della chiesa fu posta nel 1652 e il complesso della chiesa e del monastero furono utilizzabili dal 1670. Il monastero raggiunse il suo splendore barocco, che ancora oggi si può ammirare nelle sale di rappresentanza della residenza, nel XVIII secolo. Nel 1802 le truppe bavaresi occuparono il monastero principesco e la città imperiale di Kempten, dopodiché il monastero fu sciolto e da allora la Basilica di San Lorenzo è esclusivamente una chiesa parrocchiale.

    La prima grande chiesa nel sud della Germania dopo la Guerra dei Trent'anni (la costruzione iniziò nel 1652, i capomastri Michael Beer e Johann Serro) colpisce ancora oggi con la sua magnifica facciata a doppia torre (guglie 1900) e l'imponente cupola sopra il coro. All'interno della Basilica di San Lorenzo affascinano i ricchi arredi e gli altari, nonché gli stalli del coro intagliati con rari pannelli in scagliola.
