    La colonna delle miglia posta nell'ex Meissner Tor, ora Meissner Gasse, risale al 1723. Ci sono ancora tre colonne delle miglia posta a Freiberg oggi. Questo è piuttosto raro, solo poche città hanno eretto pilastri di porte. Nel 1721 fu ordinata l'erezione dei pilastri in Sassonia, e inizialmente doveva esserci un pilastro ad ogni porta della città.
